Governors

Governor elections provide you as a member of our NHS Foundation Trust with two opportunities:

1.To stand to be elected as a governor, and

2.To vote for who you would want to represent you.

The deadline for nominations to our Governor elections was 12 February 2019.  Thank you to all those who are standing in the elections. For more information, click here to see a full statement of all the nominations.

From 4 March 2019, voting packs will be posted to your home address to enable you to have your say about whom you would like to be elected as your local governor. The voting pack will guide you through process to cast your vote.

We have 6 staff Governors, 13 public Governors and 4 partner Governors.

Staff Governors

Our 5000 staff form a central part of our membership.  Staff members voted to elect our staff governors who include:

Public Governors

Public members voted for public governors. These include:

  • 4 governors from South Birmingham
  • 4 governors from East and North Birmingham
  • 4 governors from Central and West Birmingham
  • 1 governor from the wider West Midlands (including Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire (other than Birmingham)

Partner Governors

Partner Governors represent local organisations that we work closely with. The chosen organisations nominated a key member of their staff to represent them. These include:

  • Birmingham City Council
