Better Care

Glowing for gold with clubbercise

Close friends Glen Patrick and Paul Mytton both suffered from life changing strokes within a year of each other.

A huge part of their recovery was thanks to treatment and support they received from staff on ward 8 at Moseley Hall Hospital.

Family and friends wanted to raise awareness of stroke, as well as do a collection to thank the ward so at a Clubbercise event run by instructor Ruth Armstrong in Hinckley, a vote was held and the group decided to donate their charitable giving to BCHC Charity.

Felicity, Glen’s daughter said: "We are overwhelmed that so many people turned out to raise money for ward 8.

"We want to thank everyone who donated their time and energy helping us to raise money for this worthy cause."

Charity manager Sarah Binks said: "All money we receive can help to provide ‘extras’ for patients who access our services. From additional activities on the ward to providing the latest equipment for therapy the valuable contribution from everyone involved will make a real difference".
