'Thank you - now bring home the Cup!' Kop fan Kyle's message ahead of Champs League clash

Like millions of fellow Liverpool supporters across the world, devoted Reds fan Kyle Cabey is counting down the minutes until his heroes kick off the UEFA Champions League Final against Real Madrid in Kiev tomorrow.

And alongside his best wishes for the big match, 12-year-old Kyle is also sending a big ‘thank you’ after the Merseyside club treated him to a goody bag including Anfield stadium tour tickets and photos signed by the likes of Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mané.

The surprise delivery was arranged by kind-hearted staff at Birmingham Community Healthcare’s children in care team, whose nurses carry out regular health assessments on children in care across the city.

Specialist nurse for children in care Jackie Keegan said: “Kyle was seen for his health assessment in April and told me he loved Liverpool Football Club but could not get to see them so went to watch his local club, Birmingham City, instead.

“I wrote to Liverpool Football club to ask if they would possibly be able to provide Kyle with tickets to see a match.

“They said they couldn’t provide match tickets but kindly sent him two stadium tour tickets, which cover six people. They also sent a flag, signed photographs and an album.

“Kyle was really please to get these items from Liverpool and staff in his home took a photo so we could say 'thank you' to Liverpool Football Club.

"I was very surprised when Liverpool contacted me and said they would like to help and it was great to be able to do something to make Kyle happy.”
