Assessment and Treatment

A multidisciplinary outpatient service for the assessment and treatment of older people on an outpatient basis.

Other services, available on a clinic basis, include speech therapy, psychology, dietetics, tissue viability, bladder assessment, falls prevention and EXTEND exercise classes.

Who is it for?

Service users are predominantly older adults, although younger people with complex needs are also seen. The service is based in South locality, at Moseley Hall Hospital. Referrals can potentially be accepted from other localities but please note that the service cannot meet transport costs from patients travelling from Central and West or East and North.

Who delivers it?

The core team includes medical and nursing staff, physiotherapists and occupational therapists based at Moseley Hall Hospital in South locality.

Additional specialists such as speech therapists, psychologists and dieticians are engaged for particular clinics as appropriate.

Access is by written or telephone referral from any health professional.
