The health respite service offers regular respite care for patients with complex needs who meet continuing health criteria.
It offers a wide range of services to patients, families and carers. There is also a busy day care unit operating on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Who is it for?
Respite admissions are co-ordinated and planned following a comprehensive assessment of the needs of patients, families and carers. The majority of patients being admitted have severe disabilities and high dependency.
Although the health respite service is available to all those who meet the referral criteria, it is currently only offered at Moseley Hall Hospital.
Who delivers it?
The health respite service is nurse consultant-led with medical support. It is based at Moseley Hall Hospital.
