Wards 5 and 6 at Moseley Hall Hospital and Wards 10, 12 and 14 at West Heath Hospital are generic sub-acute wards providing care and rehabilitation of older adults.
There is a total of 127 inpatient beds available across the two sites.
Who is it for?
The wards provide inpatient services for older adults requiring varying degrees and types of sub-acute care and rehabilitation.
Who delivers it?
Services in each ward are delivered by a multidisciplinary team including nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, rehabilitation assistants, domestics and housekeepers.
There is also provision for patients to access speech and language therapy, specialist nursing and dietetics.
There are a wide range of admission sources ranging from transfers from the acute sector, direct GP admissions and the Rapid Response Service.
