The Under 5s service is a health promotion service working in children’s centres and associated community venues. Aimed at tackling health inequalities such as obesity, infant mortality and oral health.
We design and deliver services to pregnant women or families who have children between the ages of 0-5 years old. The activities are based around the needs of the children and families which promote and improve family’s health outcomes.
Who is it for?
Any parent/carer who has a child under five years or is pregnant who would like advice and information.
Who delivers it?
The service is delivered by health staff that has extensive knowledge in that area. These sessions are mainly delivered in local children centres and community venues. The programmes vary in length and can be accessed by contacting your local children centre.
