IMT Therapy Services


Community therapy services operate as part of the IMT service and provide access to occupational therapists and physiotherapists for patients who require a therapy service at home                                                                               .

Who is it for?

Adults aged 18+ who are registered with a Birmingham GP

Who provides it?

The team comprises occupational therapists, physiotherapists and rehabilitation technicians and assistants

What happens at your appointment?

You will be contacted to arrange a first appointment for an assessment and to agree your rehabilitation goals and outcomes of your therapy activities. You may be signposted to other more suitable services for your treatment, or you may receive a recommendation to attend group programmes for Falls management for example.

Information for carers / family members:

Patients may wish to be supported by a carer/ family member and the team will be pleased to accommodate patient wishes in this regard

For professionals:

Referrals are via SPA and you can fax your referral as the preferred option, alternatively, you can ring the SPA number.
