Welcome to Food Net 

Food Net works across Birmingham to promote good nutrition and reduce nutritional inequalities with the long term aim of reducing risk of cardio-vascular disease and cancer by: 

  • tackling barriers to healthy eating by using a practical approach to building food skills and knowledge
  • targeting areas with high indices of deprivation and levels of nutrition-related ill health
  • Taking account of cost and availability of food, as well as acceptability to individuals and families

Food Net deliver a range of health promotion services to public and professionals. All of Food Net’s activity aims to increase knowledge of healthier eating and build the confidence of clients to convert their knowledge into practical actions for a healthier lifestyle. Food Net offer a range of training to various professionals including Children’s Centres, Nurseries, health professionals, and Schools .
