Physiotherapy Services

A range of physiotherapy services are provided in inpatient units, outpatient clinics and community settings.

Home Physiotherapy (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and non-clinical case manager)
Home physiotherapy is delivered in patients’ homes. Referrals are from GPs and come via the Single Point of Access 0300 555 1919.  The adult community physiotherapy service is provided from within Integrated Multi-disciplinary Teams. These teams are made up of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, district nurses and clinical case managers. The service provides assessment and treatment at home for patients who are housebound and therefore unable to attend a clinic. This is an adult service for people aged 17 and over. Referrals to the service can be made by calling the referral management centre at our single point of access on 03005551919 option 1.

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (outpatients) 
Musculoskeletal physiotherapy service is an out-patient service for patients with musculoskeletal disorders that is delivered on an individual or group session basis in clinics across Birmingham and receives referrals from GPs and other health professionals via the referral management centre - 0121 466 6540.

Neurological Rehabilitation Physiotherapy
Community Neurological Physiotherapy is for adults aged 18 and above. The service is delivered predominantly in peoples homes but also in day centres or community locations such as gyms/colleges. Telephone referral is via the Single Point of Access 0300 555 1919.
