Safeguarding Children Training

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Trust provides single-agency training as well as access to multi-agency training via the Birmingham Safeguarding Children Board (BSCB).

The aim of this training is to provide ‘Child-centred training aimed at hearing the voice of the child and equipping staff with the skills and confidence to better help children and families.’

BCHC incorporates shared over-arching policies, procedures and protocols laid down by the Birmingham Safeguarding Children's Board (BSCB) and can be accessed via the BSCB website:  www.lscbbirmingham.gov.uk

One of the core functions of the BSCB is to ensure that training across BCHCcomplies with key areas as defined in Working Together to Safeguard Children (2010) and framed within the 2010 Inter-Collegiate Competency levels.

BCHC has a Training Strategy in place as well as a Training Directory (which are currently both under review and development.

For all the latest training courses, employees of BCHC can view these via their secure intranet site under Training.
