Better Care

Clocking up the miles to deliver healthy smiles!

oral health education session at Springfields Children's Centre, Rowley

As part of National Smile Month, Birmingham Community Healthcare's oral health promotion team visited children’s centres across the borough of Sandwell to teach parents, carers and kids about keeping young teeth and gums in good condition.

The team has joined a month-long nationwide drive to encourage parents to take their children to the dentist and establish positive routines to maintain good oral health.

The UK’s largest and longest-running oral health campaign, National Smile Month has given BCHC the opportunity to join thousands of individuals and organisations across the country in a co-ordinated campaign to improve the UK’s oral health.

Organised by oral health charity, the British Dental Health Foundation, the campaign hopes to make a positive difference to the oral health of millions of people throughout the UK.
