NHS Change Day - making a pledge for change

Dozens of personal pledges have been made by BCHC colleagues keen to use NHS Change Day as an opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to key principles of high quality care.

NHS Change Day brings professionals across the country together with a shared purpose of improving health and care.

The aim of the day is to inspire and mobilise people everywhere - staff, patients and the public - to do something better together to improve care for people.

The first NHS Change Day, in March 2013, provided grassroots momentum for change and inspired more than 189,000 online pledges of action from people to make a positive difference to the NHS.

By the end of February this year, around 297,000 pledges had been registered – well on the way to the 500,000 target.

BCHC is urging all its staff and anyone else who works with, or uses, the Trust's services to make their own personal pledge - something that they believe they can achieve and which will make a difference, no matter how big or small.

Visit the NHS Change Day website to add your personal commitment to the 'Pledge Wall' and read other people's ideas. Pledges can be made until 31 March.
