Better Care

Looking for a career in nursing?

Hundreds of qualified health care staff will get the chance to learn more about a career in nursing at a two-day recruitment event being held to attract people to Birmingham and the Black Country.

The event, hosted by Royal College of Nursing at NEC Birmingham on 2 – 3 March, aims to highlight immediate vacancies to newly-qualified nurses, healthcare assistants and experienced nurses.

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHC) will be attending the event alongside partners Black Country Partnership and Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust to showcase vacancies at each of the three Trusts.

Those who attend will also be given the chance to attend free seminars to help with everything from revalidation, preceptorship, advice on writing CVs and identifying strengths to improve with interview skills.

BCHC recruitment manager Gemma Walker said: “We are proud to be working with our partners in two neighbouring Trusts at this event. In doing so we will be able to discuss a range of career options available to qualified healthcare staff looking to work in community or mental health nursing.”
