patient experience report 2012

The vast majority of people who use Birmingham Community Healthcare services are highly impressed with the quality of our services and the dedication of our staff, patient feedback shows.

During 2011/12, 98 per cent of patients surveyed across the Trust’s clinical services rated their care ‘good’,  ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’ .

A range of means of gathering feedback were used to compile a detailed picture of the quality of care delivered in over two million patient contacts each year.

 Associate director of patient experience Alison Last said: “It is evident that patient satisfaction is very high and we have robust systems in place to continue to monitor satisfaction to help us to maintain a consistently firm focus on the quality of care experienced by ourpatients and service users.

“Although we are very pleased with our record in the past year, even a single experience that fails to meet an individual’s expectations is one too many and wherever we fall short of expectations, we aspire to learn the lessons so we consistently drive improvement.”
