BCHC deputy chief executive Peter Axon said: “The Sustainability and Transformation Plan submitted for the Birmingham and Solihull footprint represents a refreshed vision for health and social care into the future. Concerted collaborative work between several health and social care organisations has produced a plan which is intended to achieve partners’ joint objectives to deliver excellent care and better patient outcomes, built around the needs of the communities we serve.

“As a focused provider of community-based healthcare we are particularly pleased that we have been able to contribute to a plan which recognises the key and influential role which can be delivered through out-of-hospital services, in conjunction with acute and primary care and the third sector.”
