West Heath serves up five star food service

West Heath Hospital has been awarded the maximum five stars for the standard of food supplied to patients and visitors.

Birmingham City Council inspectors judged the hospital's catering operation to be 'very good' during their inspection on 17 October.

Deputy chief executive Peter Axon said: "The Trust is pleased to confirm that the maximum five-star food hygiene rating has been awarded at West Heath Hospital.

"Significant and successful improvements have recently been made in management and operational procedures to ensure that the highest quality of catering services are provided to our patients and to ensure that this continues.’
