Children's Occupational Therapy Advice Line: New Interpreting Service

The Paediatric Occupational Therapy (OT) Advice Line commenced in September 2019, and provides families and professionals the opportunity to speak directly with an Occupational Therapist for immediate advice and support. On average, the OT service takes around 100 calls a month. The support provided covers a range of issues which impact upon a child's activities of daily living at home and school. 

The service has recognised that this offer was not inclusive of all families where English was not their first language. 

The OT service is pleased to announce that they have launched an interpreting telephone advice line, available from 9am-4pm Monday -Friday.

Please note:

  • This service can be accessed without a referral or for those families already open to our service
  • The advice line is available for children aged 0-18 years (up to 19 years if in full time special school education) and registered with a Birmingham GP.
