Special school provision includes highly specialist staff who have a range of skills in working with children and young people with speech, language and communication needs. It is therefore not necessary for every child at a special school to receive direct or individual NHS Speech & Language Therapy support. Teachers and Teaching Assistants are able to support children's communication needs.  Children will not automatically be seen by NHS SLT when they start school.

If you or your child's teacher feel that there are specific concerns, please contact us to discuss these. We may feel it is helpful to carry out an assessment.
