Contact with loved ones

Having reviewed the current situation and the latest national guidance about hospital visiting, we are pleased to welcome visitors to our inpatient facilities.

We have reintroduced visiting by appointment to our wards - please be aware that there are strict measures in place to keep all visitors, patients and colleagues safe and we ask that you help in following these instructions.

Please note that the latest national guidance requires:

  • evidence of negative LFD test for all visitors, including those who are vaccinated;
  • wearing of masks for all visitors who are not able to evidence medical exemption;

To reduce risk of infection, visitors are encouraged to use private transport to get to the hospital and must not visit if they are unwell for any reason, even if they have a negative LFD test and are vaccinated

Additionally, friends and family are welcome to keep in touch with loved ones in our care are by phone, video calls, and email. Our inpatient wards all have access to phones and iPads to support this.  Please call the ward to arrange contact if your loved one does not have or needs support to use their own phone, or you are welcome to email the address above.

If you have any questions about these arrangements, please speak to the ward manager, matron or the family liaison officer for the relevant ward.

We will continue to provide telephone and video calls between patients and their loved ones, and also offer an email messaging service via email service. Our inpatient wards all have access to phones and iPads to support this. For more information please call the ward or the advice and liaison service (0800 917 2855) to arrange contact if your loved one does not have, or needs, support to use their own phone.

We look forward to welcoming visitors once again.
