The future of care closer to home - NHS Confederation podcast

Pictured are the participants in the NHS Confederation Healh on the Line podcast, exploring the future of care closer to home.

Our chief executive Richard Kirby is among the panellists in the latest edition of the NHS Confederation Health on the Line podcast, which explores issues around the need to shift healthcare from acute hospitals to primary and community settings.

The innovative approach to embed an integrated locality-based model of prevention and care in Birmingham has featured prominently in the national discussion in recent months.

Alongside RIchard in the discussion are Birmingham and Solihull ICB executive director Paul Sherriff and director of the NHS Confederation's Primary Care Network Ruth Rankine. The episode also features a Q&A with retiring chief executive of North East Ambulance Service, Helen Ray.
