Orthopaedic Triage Service

Service operating at reduced capacity due to COVID-19 restrictions. Please refer as normal.

Overview

The Orthopaedic Triage Service (OTS) was set up for the assessment of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions such as spinal and joint pain and to help determine the most appropriate pathway of care.

The Orthopaedic Triage Service is a ‘one-stop-service’ for all patients with MSK problems. The term ‘musculoskeletal’ relates to:

  • Bones
  • Joints
  • Soft Tissues
  • Muscles
  • Ligaments

The service has clinicians to assess, diagnose and manage your condition at health centres in the local community. The aim of this service is to ensure patients with MSK conditions are seen by the right clinician at the right time to facilitate a timely recovery.
