BCHC welcomes two new non-executive directors

BCHC has appointed Deborah Lycett and Jon Glasby to join the Trust Board as non-executive directors (NEDs).
Deborah is a dietician and spent the early part of her career in dietician roles. In 2013, she moved into an academic and research role at Coventry University and is currently Associate Pro Vice Chancellor for Research Skills and Education and Director of the Health and Community Wellbeing Research.
Deborah is an Associate Non-Executive Director at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT), a position she has held for over two years.
Jon is a highly experienced NED, Professor and Health and Care Advisor. He has 15 years of NED experience having served on the Board of Birmingham Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust and currently University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, where his term is due to end. Jon is also a NED at Birmingham Children’s Trust.
Jon’s career has centred around connecting health and social care; he works as a Professor of Health and Social Care at the University of Birmingham and is the Director of IMPACT (Improving Adult Care Together).
As we welcome two new NEDS, we are also saying a fond farewell to Jacynth Ivey MBE, who has reached the end of her six-year term as a Trust NED.
Through her term of office, Jacynth has made an invaluable contribution to the development of the Trust, and has been particularly instrumental in influencing positive culture change and advancing our steps towards being an inclusive organisation. We thank Jacynth for her contribution and wish her all the best in her next chapter.
On Jacynth’s departure, Salma Ali now becomes Vice-Chair of the Board.
