Celebrating our Values in Practice

VIP Awards 2025 winners group

Our annual Values in Practice (VIP) Awards presentation evening saw teams and individual colleagues from across BCHC recognised for shining examples of commitment, caring and dedication in their work.

The event - at Edgbaston Park Hotel on the University of Birmingham campus - was a chance to say 'thank you' to inspirational unsung heroes, divisional superstars and outstanding leaders and teams.

With more than 500 nominations, judging panels made up of directors, senior leaders, governors and representatives of Staff Side and our Staff Networks agreed that, while evaluating the nominations was a pleasure and a privilege, choosing winners from so many deserving examples represented a stiff challenge!

Chief executive Richard Kirby said: "Huge congratulations to all of the winners in our VIP Awards this year.    We had a record number of nominations; a really strong set of finalists shortlisted; and a group of really worthy winners. Thank you for everyone who took the time to put someone forward for recognition.

"It was just fantastic to hear so many examples of our shared values brought to life in the way finalists and winners have been working - day in, day out. Congratulations to everybody who has been recognised in this process."

Our patients and their carers and families are the reason we're here, so we want to hear your views about the Trust and our services.
