the diabetes team

Members of our Diabetes Service will be holding a pop-up event on Friday 14 November (World Diabetes Day) to help members of the public learn more about the condition.

It is estimated that around 5.8 million people in the UK are living with diabetes. Everyone's experience of diabetes is different and whether you're living with diabetes or care for a loved one who does, our service provides highly specialist treatment, advice and training to help people manage their condition.

Diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialists for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes will be located at Tesco (Camden Street) in Hockley from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. for anyone looking for advice on diabetes symptoms and/or prevention.

Our team will also be able to check your blood pressure, and a Dietitian will be available to go through helpful dietary tips that could improve your overall health and wellbeing - we recommend stopping to chat before you pick up your weekly shop.

If you have any further questions about the event, please email Jade Shaw, Diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialist jade.shaw4@nhs.net

Our patients and their carers and families are the reason we're here, so we want to hear your views about the Trust and our services.
