National recognition for imaging innovation
Ground-breaking use of a clinical imaging tool to support remote monitoring of adult patients being cared for in their own home has earned recognition in prestigious national awards.
The introduction of the Isla digital tool in urgent community response and the computer-aided dispatch team, working in partnership with the research and innovation team, was judged the winner in the category for best innovation and use of technology at the Community Hospitals Association Innovation and Best Practice Awards,
Judges said they were "truly impressed" by the project, which was "exemplary in supporting clinicians in improving patient care and demonstrated excellent collaborative working".
They added: "This cutting-edge approach has had a real impact, improving patient care, streamlining workflows, and driving greater system efficiency across services.
"The judges loved how this project empowers staff with smart digital tools to better support their patients, a brilliant example of technology making care safer and more effective."
