Pulmonary Rehabilitation - take a look!

A physiotherapist and a man taking part in a pulmonary rehabilitation session, both giving a 'thumbs up'.

Pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) is a six-week programme of moderate intensity exercise and bite-size healthy lifestyle education.

Delivered in convenient community locations, the aim is to increase patients’ ability to perform everyday tasks, such as housework, or just to help with their mobility and independence. All in a friendly, fun, supportive environment.

If you have frequent chest infections, visits to your GP or admissions to hospital because of breathing problems, ask a healthcare professional to see whether you are eligible for our PR programme.

In Pulmonary Rehabilitation Awareness Week, we dropped into a class to chat to some of the dedicated team of physiotherapists behind the sessions and find out how it has improved participants' health and wellbeing.
