About our service

Inpatient units at Moseley  Hall work within the discharge to assess [D2A] model, using a ‘home first’ approach. Our aim is to plan your discharge within 21 days of admission. So, when inpatient care is no longer indicated, the PTC team will work with the patient and family to plan discharge home or to a 24-hour placement as appropriate.

We offer protected meal times for our patients, so we therefore please avoid calling between 12-1pm and 5-6pm to avoid lunch and tea time.

For any non-urgent patient enquiries we advise that you contact the ward after 10am to avoid our busy period and enable us to answer your enquiry as best as we can.

Support for carers: Our friendly staff will be happy to offer advice and support to carers throughout the patients stay and any extra help that may be needed for discharge, will be organised before the patient leaves hospital.

Laundry

We are not able to wash personal items of clothing.  There are washing baskets or lockers in the patient’s room or bed area and it is important that relatives/friends check this regularly for dirty washing as this will have to be taken to be washed.  The dirty washing will be placed in red (Alginate) bags that can be placed straight into a washing machine and will dissolve during the washing cycle.

If there is a problem with washing personal items please speak to the Nurse in Charge.

Our patients and their carers and families are the reason we're here, so we want to hear your views about the Trust and our services.
