After your child’s diagnosis

Most children are discharged after the feedback appointment, where the diagnosis is explained. You’ll be given information about local services that can help.

If your child has received a diagnosis you may feel unsure how to discuss this with them. We will provide your with resources and signposting on how you can introduce this in the report.

For all children, introducing autism and neurodiversity through books and programmes is really helpful:

You can also find information about support available to you and your child on our support page.

If your child has another condition that needs ongoing support from us, we’ll arrange follow-up care.

Our patients and their carers and families are the reason we're here, so we want to hear your views about the Trust and our services.
