About our service
10 Kingswood Drive and Riverside Lodge
The Learning Disabilities Division provides a city-wide respite service for individuals with a Learning Disability who, in addition, also have complex needs.
These needs may include behaviours which may challenge or profound multiple disabilities.
Respite services are designed to give the caregiver and family a planned, short-term and time-limited break.
These respite services are provided in two locations, a six bedded unit in the South of the city (Kings Norton) and an eight bedded unit in the North (Small Heath). Both are clinically led and managerially supported.
