Integrated Delivery Plan

This plan sets out BCHC’s strategic direction and delivery priorities for the five-year period to 2030/31.

Integrated Delivery Plan 2026/27 to 2030/31

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHC) is one of the largest community providers in the country, delivering more than 100 clinical services through a workforce of over 5,000 people across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands.

Our Integrated Delivery Plan sets out our strategic direction and delivery priorities for the five-year period to 2030/31. It aligns with the Trust’s existing strategy, national NHS policy - including the NHS 10-Year Health Plan - and system priorities across the Black Country, Birmingham and Solihull. It responds directly to the significant challenges facing the NHS, including rising and increasingly complex demand, persistent inequalities in health outcomes, workforce pressures, constrained finances and the need to deliver care in more integrated, productive and preventative ways.

Our priorities for 2026/31 are themed around our strategic objectives:

  • delivering safe, high quality care: working with the people we care for, their families and our partners to deliver thet best possible outcomes and experience;
  • creating a great place to work: creating a great place to work and learn enabling our colleagues to be the best that they can be;
  • providing integrated care: working with our partners to support people to live healthy lives in their communities.

How we will deliver the Integrated Delivery Plan?

The Integrated Delivery Plan is supported by a number of interconnected Delivery Plans. These plans are not standalone; they form part of a single, integrated approach to planning and delivery across BCHC. Together, they ensure that our clinical, workforce, estates, digital, financial and operational priorities are aligned to support the delivery of our strategic objectives.
