Occupational Therapy Champions (OT Champs)
Paediatric occupational therapists support children and young people to carry out activities they need, want, or are expected to do, but are prevented from doing due to impairments, injuries or developmental conditions.
The Occupational Therapy Champions (OT Champs) programme aims to upskill a member of staff within your setting to be an OT Champion. The staff member will receive training in key occupational therapy concepts, topics and strategies. This will also include support sessions to build confidence in identifying and addressing occupation-based needs within your school. This may be changing the environment, running an intervention group or implementing strategies throughout the day to support skill development.
