Fun With Food
Paediatric occupational therapists support children and young people to carry out activities they need, want, or are expected to do, but are prevented from doing due to impairments, injuries or developmental conditions.
Fun with Food Training is training for early years settings (Local Authority school nurseries and reception classes). This is delivered jointly between SEND Occupational Therapy (OT) and Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) teams. The training aims to support school staff to promote positive eating and drinking interactions within their settings.
Early years settings will then be supported to set up Fun with Food Groups within your setting, with a Senior Therapy Assistant who works across both OT and SLT.
