Ready Steady Reception Group
Paediatric occupational therapists support children and young people to carry out activities they need, want, or are expected to do, but are prevented from doing due to impairments, injuries or developmental conditions.
SEND Occupational Therapy provide Ready, Steady, Reception training for staff within early years settings and every private, voluntary, independent (PVI) setting in Birmingham face to face and virtually. Staff will be supported by a member of SEND Occupational Therapy to help you to identify appropriate participants through pre-screening tools and set up a group within your setting. The aim of Ready, Steady, Reception is to support the development of communication and interaction, pre-writing skills, toileting, dressing and mealtimes.
Following attendance at the introduction session, you will be provided with a resource pack with ideas and activities to support your staff to set up Ready. Steady, Reception Groups within your setting.
